The many species of Melaleuca trees are native to Australia. Melaleuca trees have been known as tea trees since the time when their leaves were first used to prepare an herbal tea. The essential oil from the Melaleuca alternifolia is used to treat a wide range of skin disorders such as acne, sunburn, dandruff, burns, insect bites, cuts and infected wounds. It is quickly absorbed by the skin and thought to speed healing.

I am so excited to announce that I have added a new addition to my soap line…Besides 6 new scents that will be released in 2-3 weeks (they are just finishing curing . I am adding Massage oils, Body Butter and Bath salts. But the thing I am really excited about is the addition of my Inspirational Quotes to each bar of soap. ‘A little Inspiration tucked inside of every bar’ ~ After purchase, check under the label and you will find it there. These Inspirational Quotes have inspired me along my magical journey to personal empowerment and success. I want to share them with all of you. A few of them are affirmations that have helped me. But I knew if I stayed in my comfort zone ~ I would do just that ~ stay there and not move forward. WOW ~ what a Journey it’s been. YAY! A couple of weeks ago I was accepted into my first local gift shop in Sandy called “Be Inspired.” http://beinspiredshop.blogspot.com I am so thrilled that they chose me and my product and that they believe in what I have to offer! “Be Inspired” ties into what I totally believe has got me where I am today. Inspiration. I was Inspired. I had a Dream, an Idea, the Courage to face a Challenge and the Passion to get it done!

Avocado Oil is used in various recipes for my soap. It is highly therapeutic. It contains protein, amino acids and large amounts of vitamins A, D and E,  making this oil very much alive. These components are not only moisturizing, but also healing. They enable avocado oil to regenerate cells, soften body tissue and heal scaly skin and scalp.

My soap is handmade the old fashioned way – by scratch (cold-processed). It contains some of the best skin loving ingredients you can find. I do not use animal fat in my products. The soap bars take 4-5 weeks to cure. (The curing process is complete when you receive the soap).  The ingredients that I use in my soap are: Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Palm Kernel Oil,  Distilled Water, Sodium Hydroxide (Lye), Shea Butter, Vitamin E Oil, Avocado Oil and Essential Oils.

Olive oil is a very good moisturizer, not because it has its own healing properties, but because it attracts external moisture, holds down the moisture close to the skin, and forms a breathable film to prevent loss of internal moisture. Olive oil does not block the natural functions of the skin while performing its own. The skin is able to continue sweating, releasing sebum and shedding dead skin. Olive oil, Jojoba oil, shea butter, kukui nut oil and some other natural materials do not inhibit these necessary functions.

Olive oil soaps produce a slow and stingy lather, they are mild and clean well. The soaps made with olive oil are generally safe enough for sensitive skin and babies.
